The Consultative Committee of the United Front declares its solidarity with the Alevi population in
Syria who have been subjected to a massacre by forces of the new Islamist and ultra-reactionary
government of Syria. Entire families, including innocent women and children, were murdered.
Nothing can justify this! We refuse to collectively punish the Alevi population for the crimes of
Bashar al-Assad. Those responsible for crimes committed during the Assad era must be found and
severely punished. The people of Syria want to live in peace and equality, regardless of their
religion or ethnicity. The United Front supports this wish and the struggle for a Syria without
imperialist interference from outside or Islamist-reactionary oppression from within!
