Press Statement

The US has threatened to attack Iran in a devastating manner and completely destroy the country. It has offered Iran a 45-day ceasefire and warned of a fierce attack if the offer is not accepted. It has stated that the attack would target not only military sectors but also civilian areas. Previously, the US had threatened to attack Iran and “return it to the Stone Age.” Now, that threat appears to have intensified.

Iran has directly rejected the US proposal for a 45-day ceasefire and has instead proposed a complete end to the war. It is not difficult to understand that the US offer of a temporary ceasefire may be intended to buy time for another major attack. Therefore, it does not seem convincing. In contrast, Iran’s proposal to end the war entirely appears more logical and just. In the past, the US or Israel have resumed attacks on Iran after similar ceasefires. Even in Gaza, attacks have repeatedly continued despite ceasefires. Thus, it is evident that such ceasefire proposals may not genuinely aim to maintain peace, but rather to prolong the conflict in another form. Therefore, they cannot be considered a real solution. In this context, the justification of Iran’s proposal to end the war completely becomes clear.

The US is currently pursuing policies that involve intervention or aggression in several parts of the world. It has expressed intentions such as acquiring Greenland, making Canada the 51st state, and asserting control over the Panama Canal. It has also kidnap the president of Venezuela and has threatened hostile actions against Cuba. Meanwhile, Israel, with US support, has been involved in military actions in the Gulf region and has occupied Palestinian territories for decades. More than seventy thousands of civilians, including many women and children, have been killed in Gaza. The International Court of Justice has addressed allegations of war against Benjamin Netanyahu and has issued warrant against him. Despite this, attacks involving Iran is being continue by Israel together with USA.

There is growing opposition to these policies globally. Tensions have increased not only with countries like Russia, China, and North Korea, but also with India and several NATO allies. Within the US, criticism of war policies has also been rising, including within sections of the military and the general public. Reports indicate increasing public protests and discussions around political accountability. These developments suggest that the position of US leadership in global and domestic contexts is becoming more contested.

In this context, some have expressed support for the Iranian people, viewing their resistance as part of a broader global struggle against imperialism. From this perspective, there is a belief that such conflicts have implications beyond one country and concern global peace and stability. It is argued that international solidarity is important in addressing these issues.

Concerns have also been raised about the potential escalation of the conflict, including the possibility of nuclear involvement. If such an escalation were to occur, it could have devastating consequences for humanity. Therefore, raising a global voice against escalation and in favor of peace is seen as an urgent necessity.

At present, the situation is critical, and many view it as a matter of profound global importance. There is a strong call for peaceful resolution and for efforts to prevent further conflict.
